Thanks guys.
Dan: I first airbrushed a mix of redbrown and gun metal on the complete track. From there it’s just a compbination of different washes to get the rust, dust and dirt on the track. Finally, some drybrushing with metallic grey to simulate bare metal and voilà.
Yann very well done. Nice paint and weathering job. Looks great. Hey does anyone know when the last of the Shermans saw action Anywhere? Where the Isreal’s the last to use them? Doh I hope that I am spelling that right?
Great build yann the weathering is amazing.
As for Shermans being used in later years some were still in use into the 80s but mostly they were phased out in the early 70s the last two countries to use them in any great numbers were Israel and Pakistan.
Thanks!

Thanks for the info, it will help me a lot!
Didn’t the Argentines get a bunch of M51s after the Israeli’s got “done” with them? I’m trying to remember, there’s a chapter in the “Israeli Sherman” book (sorry, forgot the author) about a bunch of them that went to South America, some got new guns (again!) and maybe engines as well. It sticks because they had some wild camo.
