Identify This Vehicle: Bren Gun Carrier ?

Recently a couple in New Zealand unearthed a buried tank in their garden. In an interview the wife tells that it was a Bren Gun Carrier. If this is indeed the Schofield tank, it would be an important artifact of NZ history! The interview says the hulk was going to be scrapped. Sorry folks, I couldn’t get the images to appear as a link. What’s the BB Code for this forum? Apparently it’s not the code Im used to dealing with. Anyways, if we can figure out if this is indeed the Schofield Tank, we should try and contact the people and try to get them to preserve it! However, if it’s just another Universal Carrier then preservation isn’t really an issue, as there are tons of the things still in existence. —Vil. Edit: Aha! It is just a Universal Carrier/Bren Gun Carrier. However, it was a varient I hadn’t been aware of. This is the “diagonal back” version. Most universal carriers have the back of the cab being a flat wall, but this one has a sloped 45 degree angle rear wall. Just like this preserved example. You can also notice that quarter-circle curved thingy at the front of the rear compartment. Definitely just the NZ/AUS version of the Universal. http://home.st.net.au/~dunn/museums/cwm04.jpg

One of the irritating “features” of the forum is the lack of a import photo button. You’ll have to get used to typing [ img ] at the beginning and [ /img ] at the end. Remove the spaces. I’ve put them in to show the code.
