Does anyone know what these figures are from and what era? I found 2 sets of these in my box of extra parts

Russian/Soviet Naval troops of some description. What scale are they?
They appear to be carrying AK-47’s or some derivative of them and one is carrying what appears to be a SA-7 AAM launcher, so it would be a fair guess to say post 1970.

Italeri 6169 Soviet Special Forces 80’s, Originally ESCI Modern Paratroops/Spetsnatz
Those are ESCI Soviet Spetznaz/Paratrooper figures from the 1980s. They were sold as seperate and also came with their T-72 and BMP kits.
They are 1/35 scale
Yes, I recognize them.
Oops, the Italeri kit number I quoted above is for the 1/72 scale version. Same figs, same poses, only smaller.
