I’m pondering about buying these Luftwaffe figures to go with my 109 E/3 but am a bit dubious if they don’t quite fit for BOB.
Two of the figures wear Schwimmweste but unsure if there the early type or later 1941 version?
Here you can see both life jackets next to each other.
On the left the inflatable life jacket, which was developed for fighter pilots. On the right the kapok-filled life jacket developed for bomber, transport and other aircraft crews, but sometimes used by fighter pilots as well. Understandably, due to the cramped cockpit these were not very popular.

Yes I was getting a little confused.
I thought the sausage type B1was bomber crews only.
The figures are wareing the B2 and I also thought the B2 was a little different from 40 to 41 version.
