I would appreciate some help:

The Sangamon class aircraft carriers:

I want to build one. Not a new kit but an actual conversion from T-2 Tanker. Anybody got good pictures of one? I’ll be using REVELL’S old 1956 release(Hey that’s what it says on the inside of the hull.)

Navsource has the usual decent-ish coverage, lots of shots – though most are profile views, plus one good 2-view plan. (Suwanee’s page has some gun gallery and island/mast structure shots – and Chenango’s shows an interesting closeup of the APS-4 search radar installation.)

If you haven’t seen it, there’s a detailed writeup (w/color photos) from a gent who built a 1/72 waterline version, looks like there might be some useful detail there:

Cool project!

Cant help you there. The Sangamons were converted from T3 hulls, which are a little bigger than a T2, but that could probably be fixed.

My problem with trying to convert a C3 to a Bogue was getting aircraft so I gave up.

Bill

You can refer search for historical photos of Sangamon class aircraft carriers, such as the USS Sangamon (CVE-26) or USS Santee (CVE-29). These photos can provide valuable insights into the ship’s structure, layout, and details.
