I’ll second that, Bish. Those AFV kits have a high parts count, but build up beautifully. There’s not much comparison between a Tamiya M-60A1 and the AFV Club offering, except that they are the same tank.
Don’t be afraid of AFV, but be wary of their instructions! LOL!
If it doesn’t look or fit right check other sources of reference. That M-60A1 I built had all sorts of mixed up parts numbers.
Once you get past that they are nice to paint, decals are good, and they look like you spent a lot in AM parts for it.
Wellcome to the dark side…and great builds [Y]
Some feedback, if I may…they need more rust and they need more dirt [:D][:D]. There, I got it out of my system [:D]
Cheers…
somewhere along the line i’ll learn how to do figures… i love the cat on the tiger, that’s fantastic!!!
AFV Club kits are nice, but often are made of notoriously soft plastic. Stare at it too hard and and you might mar the surface. They make a couple of small armor kits, like the West German Wiesels and British Scorpion and Scimitar. They also make a Vietnam era M113.
Thank you all for your kind words!
