Hello everyone! Glad I’m able to log into the new forum, was having difficulty logging in to the old one.
I’ve been retired for almost two years now and am really enjoying working on my models when I please. I build mostly 1/25 autos and 1/48 WW2 aircraft and want to venture into armor. Not sure yet if I’m wanting 1/48 or 1/35 scale armor yet, leaning towards 1/48 since my planes are all that scale but man there tiny.
I built dozens and dozens of planes and tanks as a young teenager, sadly I don’t have a single one left.
Thanks for having me here and I’m sure I’ll enjoy!
Welcome aboard Shoop! Looking forward to seeing your work in all the mentioned genres. …especially the autos and WWII aircraft!!
Welcome aboard, pleny of retired folks around here
If you’re building 1/25 autos and 1/48 aircraft then you can handle 1/35 armor. The selection of kits and accessories are greater. However, if you plan to create dioramas with your aircraft then maybe 1/48 is the direction you want to go.
Welcome!
Good to see you, Shoop. Happy modeling!
Likewise We need to tell the modeling world- many gave up waiting
Welcome to the forum, Shoop!
We share some interests; I like 1/48 WWII aircraft, mostly USN and USAAF. A good number of Monogram kits, since I build those when I was a kid (b. 1964).
I look forward to seeing your builds!
Best regards,
Brad
