I need some material quotes!

Not verbal quotes. Price quotes! Could you also please add size/weight/amount? Thanks.

-Celluclay

-Plaster of Paris

-Other types of plaster

-Sculptey (What is it, anyway?)

-Cork (and where can I find it?)

Ummmmmmmmm… any other base materials and prices I need to consider? Cheers

My styrofoam situation has retracted for the moment, and I’m on my way to making my first dio. Still have not the foggiest on how to post pics (I’m computer illiterate). Looks like I won’t be able to give any proggy pics.

Heres how you post pictures.

If nobody else give you the prices I’ll do it later today.

Good luck,

David

Here is a web site that is associated with a store here in the states called Hobby Lobby.

I know that it has some of what’s on your list. But I don’t know about how much the shipping is.

Sculpey is a clay that does not set up until you heat it up in the oven. If you get some go with the Super Sculpey. It is much better IMHO.

You can get all the things you are looking for at artist supply stores like Pearl Paint or Utrecht art. I would seriously suggest that you look at artists supply shops in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide before shipping from the US which will cost you a lot for things that you can find on that side of the Pacific. I would also suggest that you get in touch with your local IPMS group. I used to belong to the Melbourne one, and they are a fantastic group of blokes who can help you find local alternatives for just about everything, so try the Adelaide IPMS or model group and attend some of their meetings. The money you spend on joining the group and on petrol driving to the meeting will be more than made up by the money you save on shipping commonly available materials from the US. I remember buying some of these things in Sydney and Canberra in the 1970s… so they are around.
