I found a Modelers Heaven!!!

Today I was on my way to the airport, knowing I was going to be about 30 minute early for my show time I decided to take a side road. I took this side road in Winfield, Illinois and down this road I saw a sign for a Green House and Military.

I pull in, and walk into this green house. In this green house you see a sign saying “Model Shop” and its a seperate room. I walked in, and my jaw hit the floor. It seemed like a dream. They have mass stock of models that have been out of production for decades. They have old large scale airliners to military trucks and personel. On top of it all, this stuff is all VERY under priced. I felt bad buying one of the models I did because it was only $20.

Take a road trip to St. Louis and go to CRM hobbies. You will think you have died and gone to model heaven! His store is amazing!!!

I feel like I just robbed the guy today. I walked up to the counter with the Revell 1/48th B-1B and 1/48 B-58. Total price for both? $48.50

I’m going back next Friday on pay day to clean him out:)

I’ve been there. Unfortunately, it was before I was really back into the hobby and I didn’t buy anything. But the place is amazing and weird at the same time, because it is a greenhouse and a model shop.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been back since it’s a bit of a drive from where I’m at in the city. Hmm, maybe a road trip is in order…
