Now I guess I’m going to have to do some work! I am anxious to try out the P/E stuff and also try out these kits. Out of all of these mentioned, I’ve only built the Airfix kit in the past. I guess I’m going to have to break down and learn some rigging as well…[^]
now thats what i call a good investment. btw next week looks like i get to do something similar. only mine will be 1/48 ww2. if im gonna get in trouble what a way to go. remember to post pics.
[(-D]Good luck, Dan. If you’re not blind now, you probably will be by the time you finish all that rigging! And lay off the coffee for a while. Would say it sounds like fun…but it doesn’t[banghead]
I just finished rigging my first 1/72 scale bi-plane; a most “WW1-like” WW2 Fairy Swordfish. The rigging wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected and I love the way it turned out. I had so much fun on it that I went out and got a 1/72 Sopwith Snipe (Just one)
I’m not sure if I’d be up for eleven of them. (Make that 13 if you consider that the Gotha’s gotta have enough rigging for 3 little fighters !)
Good luck man - don’t get tangled in a web of stretched sprue
Personally, I’ve had academy 1/32 sopwith camel and a nieuport 17 sitting in the closet for months, keep meaning to get strted on them but I keep buying new kits and getting new ideas, lately been doing 1/72 US Navy WW2 planes- F6F-5 and a TBM-1…
and I just bought the Accurate IL-2 M3…
Not to mention those 2 panzers sitting there…
decisions, decisions…
