So far so good post some finished pics love to see them.Ron

Thanks I’m doing Hurry home honey after this painting by Nicholas trudgian

Heres the progess so far, sorry i didnt get an assembly shots… i kinda got into a grove and just worked really fast

14??? Your doing a great job! I really like the detail in the wheel well area one tip I can offer is to use a toothpick to apply your super glue.

Great effort so far ,not many build em’ that quick. One tip I can offer is to get away from the newspaper when you are into the paint, its notorious for dust. I’ll be watchin’

Great work, very impressive. You should be proud. I second the newspaper suggestion. A piece of butcher’s paper is a good surface for painting.

thankyou,

Yes i know about the dust that lives in the newspaper, I just used that because my workbench was cut up, smeared in glue and covered in paint, just put it down to clean things up

Regarding the model I’m finished painting and small parts I’m just about to put on an acrylic finish so i can try the mig productions brown weather wash which is enamel based so i’m bogged down for now. I also am about to try the black powder for the exhaust… any tips

I’ve finished the nose cone which turned out better than i thought it would

I painted the tires half flat black half gloss black, plus i added brake wires to the struts

If you look closely you can see where i painted the formation light half chrome half blue; one, to dull down the effect, two to represent the off position of the light, i did the same for the red

I kept trying to get the wires in the picture but its pretty hard

Looking great!

I’m curious to know… wheres the best place to weather with, brown enamel wash, and black promodeller wash

I’m curious to know… wheres the best place to weather with, brown enamel wash, and black promodeller wash

Black is usually too instense, except for the joints of control surfaces… Dark brown or dark grey washes in seams look better to me…

Looks good except for one thing, i beleave the underwing racks are on backwards.

thanks and i thought they were on backwards too but i double checked i thing thats just the angle the picture was taken that messes people up

oopss there backwards [:$]

Finally got the decals in the mail… hope i don’t mess up [;)]

Hehe, when this kit 1st came out ages ago, i think i did the same thing, remember, check fit,and when in doubt, check fit again and again, patience is everything in this hobby. Let me say again, nice looking pony plane[Y] Don’t want to seem the nitpicker here, i just noticed that the landing gear strut cover’s are also reversed[sn0ps]

[bnghead] Fixed that to when i looked over the aircraft…

more updates. Finished the invasion stripes and the tail stripes in prep for the decals
