Hunters II - Official WW2 Tank Hunter GB 2014

Well, here it is! The Tank Hunter GB!

It’s been a while since the last group build with this theme, so I thought I could host one for 2014.

It will kick off on January 1st next year and run for exactly one year, ending on January 1st, 2015.

Every tank destoyer or self propelled AT gun of WW2 is included. I will put up a list of German, American and Russian vehicles that fit in here on the front page, but you can build vehicles from all nations involved in WW2.

As with every GB, there are some basic rules to follow:

  • You can build any kit, in any scale you want, as long as your entry fits the theme of the GB
  • Crossovers with other GBs are allowed
  • Started kits are welcome as well, but are limited to 50% construction progress
  • Post updates about your progress
  • WIP pics are a must
  • You can add one of the badges to your signature as soon as you start work on your entry
  • The most important rule: HAVE FUN!!!

Lists of Vehicles:

These lists are only suggestions and I am sure there are many vehicles that fit the rules for this GB but are not on the lists. If you want to build a vehicle that isn’t listed here, just ask if it is allowed:

Hi Clemens,

1/48 Tamiya Jagdpanther please.

Cheers

Tony

I will defiantly be doing the Tamiya 1/35th Marder III Ausf M.

Wow my post in the other thread was an absolute shocker. It’s actually the Tamiya Marder III.

I got all of you on the list. Welcome to this GB guys!

Clemens, this is the kit I want to enter:

I started this a few years ago but never completed it. It’s about 30% assembled, but I may tear some of it apart and rebuild.

I put ya on the list. The Jagdpanzer IV is a great looking machine. I’m looking forward to your build!

Hey Clemens,

Right, so I’m going to commit with a Bandai, 1/48, Nashorn (kit# 8258)! Had this little gem in the stash and I think this is the perfect GB for it! Thank you for hosting it!

Eagle90

You’re on the list, Eagle!

1/48 is not my scale and I never had a look at any Bandai kit, but I have a big Nashorn kit (1/35) in my stash, as well as Dragon’s Hummel (basically the same thing with a 15cm howizer) I really like the look of those vehicles!

Thank you sir!

Yeah, I’d rather do it in 1/35, but I have had this kit in the stash for some time now and the more I look at it, it grows on me. So I think it will fit very well with the GB. I know what you mean about the looks of the vehicles. This thing just looks like trouble!

Eagle90

I’ll participate. I have probably a dozen different World War 2 anti-tank armor kits in 1/76, 1/72, 1/48, 1/35

Rob: Great to have you in here! Just tell me what kit you want to build and I’ll add you to the build roster!

Eagle: I know what you mean. I have a kinetic F-16 in my stash for some time now and I really feel the urge to build it, although I’m not a huge jet fan (except WW2 jets). I even found a great looking F-16 I want to build:

The decals for this beaty are bloody expensive: they cost me 30€ while the kit was 40€, but I just love the look of this particular bird. I saw it on an airshow here in Austria this summer and it was an amazing sight! I’m just looking for a reason to build her…

Holy smokes Clemens, that is an awesome F-16! That would be a beautiful build! Shot, I’ll help you fund it just to see it built!

Eagle90

You don’t have to fund anything. I have all the stuff I need to build it in my stash already:

  • Kinetic F-16AM
  • Aires cockpit set
  • Eduard masks
  • Syhart decals

Just give me a good reason to build it and I’ll do it…

A good reason?! How about it is a friggin cool looking build…build it Clemens…BUILD IT!! [;)]

LOL

I think that’s good enough. I won’t be able to start this year though. I have too many builds on my bench that have to be finished untill Dec. 1st…

LOL, yes she does look awesome! I love that paint scheme.
