How the heck do I use this stuff??
I think I am doing it wrong. I apply this stuff wait 10+ hours to dry, go to sand it smooth and it all sands off. Doesn’t seem like it “sticks” to plastic. I make sure it is mixed very well.

Sorry, but I can’t help. I’ve never used the stuff. For seams and small gaps, I use Squadron white putty, with acetone as a thinner. Or I’ll use kit sprue and liquid styrene cement.
I think its purpose is to fill seams that are too narrow to press regular putty into. I paint it along all seams with a small brush, let dry, sand lightly and repeat. It will shrink as it dries, and takes several rounds of applications to fill in the seam. I have never been able to make the seam disappear completely. A final coat of sealing primer may help finish it off.
My [2cnts]. I use Vallejo for small jobs and Bondo red auto body filler thinned with lacquer thinner for bigger jobs. Haven’t had any problems with either one.
