I need to simulate a fuel spill, and I’d like to capture that sort of ‘rainbow-ey’ multi-colored look you see at certain angles when viewing gasoline & similar. Would anyone have an idea how to go about this? I could just do clear with a little yellow tint to it, but this is for a commission build and I’d like to ‘kick it up a notch’ as the saying goes. Waddya think?

Tamiya has a clear color called smoke. It represents oil spills well. Mix a little clear blue into it for more rainbow sheen. It comes out well.
Hmm, I’m wondering if a person dipped a toothpick in Clear Blue and traced a thin line in that Smoke base. And maybe a similar treatment with Clear Green to get that kerosene shimmer.
May need to pick up a bottle of Smoke and experiment.
Yep. It’s on my list for the next LHS trip. Thanks, guys!

I know there is a product that creates oil/grease stains but for the life of me I can’t remember where I saw it. I think this is the product:
