How to paint digital camo in 1/35 scale??

Hi all:
Any advice or tips of how to paint the various digital camo patterns in 1/35 scale?
I’m stratching my head of how to paint CADPAT and ACU
Thanks!

very, very carefully! i’ve been thinking about this lately also except not for figures but for a " what if "afv. what about regular window screen masked so it can be used as a template? kinda hard to describe. the holes might be to large.

Here is a tutorial by Pete Becerra at Armorama.

The above is for painting US Marine MARPAT, but the same techniques will work for CADPAT and Army ACUs, just with different colors.

Good luck.

In a previous topic I wrote just for fun that you’d have to use square flat tipped brushes, but that’s exactly what I’ll try on my next figure: Tamiya’s 1/16 US soldier in Iraq, which I’d like to paint as a Marine (BTW is this figure’s gear compatible with a Marine?).

I’m planning to modify a small brush cutting the hare and making the tip square.
I’ll let you know how it works.

I had forgotten that I posted the Salt Technique at the above link. I think Pete’s technique is easier though.

Avus, the gear will be fine for a US Marine as well. Our gear is pretty much the same.

Hi guys:
Thanks very much for the links and ideas![tup] [:D]
