How to insert pictures

I wanted to upload a picture of my model i got but i dont know how to do this. Most forums i belong to its fairly easy

Your photos have to be hosted on a 3rd party site like Post Image (which is free, though not all hosting sites are). Once that’s done you can just paste the link into your post, or use the ‘Insert/edit image’ button in the toolbar above the post screen. [:D]

I found and uploaded an image into the suggested site post image but when i followed its instructions all the link shows in the forum is a link and a small square non image so i guess i need further help.
