Hans- There was a photo in FSM about 18 months ago, roughly. This photo featured a tank in a diorama, that was crossing a bridge that collapsed underneath it. This featured ice that the tank and bridge fell into underneath it. I beleive the modeler used parafin to simulate the portion of ice that wasn’t broken by the collapse. As for technique, I can’t help. Try the wax/parafin angle. It looked very genuine! - Craig
I like the wax idea… wish I had thought of it myself. As for technique, try pouring some onto foil, cut it approximately to size, and then use a warm/hot knife to secure and shape.
Regular white glue (which can dry cloudy if it’s too thick) or silicone caulk may be easier to manipulate, though the color may not be as good.
thanks for the advice but i have my doubts on this techniqeu.
when put on to much it look like a fluid ran to one point on the bottom.
i can hardly describe how it’s called in English, but maybe you can imagine what i mean to say.
