Do you use a dremel a lot? I wanted to buy one but not if I’m never going to use it. What other tools do you use? Thank you.
I have a total of 6 of them (2 cordless,mini-mite and a stylus,an old single speed one hooked up to a table top speed control, a digtal one I dont see around any more and a knock off model my Dad got me at Wally World, plus one in my big tool box in the garage)I mostly use the stylus or the single speed one as it was my Grandfathers…But I like them all.

I use my dremel quite a bit, especially when dealing with resin parts. The little sanding disc cuts right thu the resin.
I use mine just about every time I hit the bench.
Now I’m a scratchbuilder, but just about all of my out-of-box builder friends have one, and they have never regretted it!
I use mine for grinding, sanding, carving and polishing. I find it very useful when trimming PE.
Stirring paint too.
Mine has always been very handy when I needed it.

My Dremel has to be at least 20 years old, and it’s still going strong. It’s mounted to the wall, connected to a speed control as old as the tool itself, with a flex-shaft attached. Plus, with my wife’s position as a dental technician, I’m privy to some awesome styles of grinding and polishing bits.
Never had 1 till about 2 years ago, didn’t use it at all for the first year. But once I started to use it, I don’t know how I got by without it. I use it on every project, even if it is just to stir some paint(low setting!!!)
I’ve had one for many, many years. I use it for drilling, sanding, and all the other uses in the book. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without one. It’s hanging on a hook just in reach of my right hand, ready for instant use.

I use mine for many things already listed. It also gets used to turn down metal tube and rod to fit various jobs.
I’ve had one for a couple of years but never used it for anything other than ‘Handyman’ stuff around the house. Looking forward to using it a lot now. I remember reading Shepherd Paine’s diorama book years ago and wondering about this ‘Dremel tool’ he kept going on about. Off to the hardware store tomorrow - think I might do a stocktake of my cutting discs as I’ve used those the most around the house. Need to replace the ‘shaft’ fitting as well as I tightened the screw too much and snapped it off last time I used it.
i use a foredom and foredom knockoff i got from harbor freight. dont use use 'em all the time, but when ya need one ya need one
Oh yeah! I just asked my dentist if he had any used bits he could part with. He gave me a hand full! Very, very useful.
Wow, I can’t imagine doing without my four dremels.
The 'rents got me one for Christmas. I put a Dremel on my list knowing I’ll need one eventually…
I scored some too a while back. New never been used ones at that. Some are older than I am.

It is worth watching estate sales…you never know what you might find.
