How many hours per day/week do you model?

About an hour to an hour and a half a day through the week. Depending on my wife’s weekend work schedule I may get as much as 12 hours over Saturday and Sunday on a good weekend. Winter will mean a lot more time though as I’ll move inside and not have to work in the yard.

Jeez, takes me longer than 30 minutes just to remember where I left off from last time…

Before I retired, I still had maybe two-three hours a day, when not deployed or in the field… You gotta rid of the family demands, lol…

Have you thought about booby-trapping the war-room door?[;)]

[dto:] On work days I often get in an hour or so before work (being that I work evenings). On my days off, I can get anywhere from an hour to 4 or 5 depending on what else life has going on for me.

Haven’t been doing a lately. But on average about four hours a week. Once winter comes, I’m hoping for more modeling time.

Dunno how you poor guys stay interested with only a few hours a month… I gotta have 30+ a week to stay in the groove…

None, lately.

When not on vacation from making models (because hey everyone has to pause occasionally eh) I tend to work on them every day and usually for 5-10 hours a day when in the zone. So I can be getting in quite a lot of weekly model making.

But the problem is, I watch documentaries and assorted videos while making models too, and that might mean taking a 10 minute break to watch a few minutes of something playing (which would be likely playing the entire time I am making models too).

Some weeks will go past and I might do sweet diddly of anything else for the whole week aside from the avoidable sleeping and eating which sadly can’t be ignored.

You get a lot of models done with 10-12 hours a day of nothing else

I’m guilty of that too… Except my “10 Minute Breaks” end up being a couple hours at times, lol… The best thing I ever did was move my compiter to the War Room, right next to the bench, so I could pull up a reference photo and leave it on the screen… And I also pull up USAAF training vids from places like Zeno’s Drive-in (Warbirds), and YouTube…

It’s also the worst place for a computer, because I stop to check in here “while the glue sets”, and before I know it, I’ve burnt two or three hours, lol…

Like now… Been in the War Room for the batter part of 3 hours, haven’t done anything to this B-25 except get sone Zinc Chromate onto the bombardier station…

Guilty

Hmmm,… when i think about it… On a busy work week maybe 2 hours a day and in the weekends more like 8 a day so that makes 25-30 ish…

I do however take little breaks and multitask during the benchtime such as browsing the www…watching a DVD… stuff like that.

I also have time to keep my wife happy and feed the family. Dont ask me how but i manage[:)] Maybe something to do with webbed feet and froggie power.

I’m pretty much the same. I’m good for about two hours a night Monday through Friday and about 5 or 6 Saturday and Sunday.

Gotta make this quick . A storm is moving in . Not counting my hours in the shop for clients , I spend about 35 to 40 hours a week on my models .Being semi-retired gives me the grace to plan more time for good old ME . I have actually backed clients back to 30 hours and no more . tankerbuilder
