I know we have Frosty, Mer1122, Lizardqueen and just realized cassibill was a female the other day. I was wondering just how many we have out there who are keeping a low profile?? [:D] There’s got to be more out the thousands that are registered.
It’s just curiosity but I’m glad to see more ladies getting in the hobby. So come on and speak out ladies. Let us guys know you’re out there.
Dave, you need to have your wife register too. She could use a screen name like oh…“David’s Boss” for instance. [;)] [:D] [:-,] [(-D]
I think it’s awesome that there are women interested in this hobby! I didn’t realize that there would be women out there interested in things like the cammoflage pattern on Pakistani MiGs! Anyways, keep building girls! [:)]
Yeah, I’m female, but my mom purposefully gave her girls gender neutral names, well sorta, that was the plan. My sister is Jamie Lee. My middle name is very girly, Dyanne. Courtney, though, was my mom’s uncle’s name, when Courtney was a guy’s name. When it started to be a girls name and went both ways still mom picked it. I do get a lot of Mr… stuff, though. My sister’s dog lisence keep being made out to James Lee Wells. The city told her it didn’t use nicknames… It was funny. The barbie collector gets “Jamie” and the model building, militaria collecting tomboy gets “Courtney”. Life is stranger than fiction.
I wondered when people would figure it out. I’ve always used my initials to keep down confusion with Unc as a kid and it stuck. It’s fun to see how long it takes online. How obvious was it, Eric? What was the giveaway?
Not everyone looks at the profile, Robert. Plus not everybody reads every things on posts. It was fun while it lasted. Seriously I think Eric would have got it when years in the future I post picks of me and my first born[:D]
Well Courtney, it wouldn’t have taken too long if I’d seen the post and you’re right, I don’t usually look at someones profile unless something they say something to spark my interest. I have read many of your posts without it being obvious.
However, Robert has this misconception about us southerners after watching beverly hillbillys. He thinks we all just went thru the 6th grade and raise chikuns and pick cotton and have a hound dawg under every porch. I’ll have you know I went thru the 7th grade, twice even, before I had to start workin the fields [;)] [:D]
It’s good to have you around and don’t mind Robert. He’s uptight because he’s already snowed in while we’re still having 60-70 degree weather. That and he’s a crotchity old man. No I didn’t take Greek, but if I saw you I guarentee i could tell you’re a female [:p]
Anyways, if it helps the census, I was a girl for the first two years of my life… Of course with a name like ‘Dominique’, which in French speaking countries is equally given to boys and girls, one could be forgiven not to know (until we meet!). But the guy who recorded my birth at the town hall was probably too bored or too drunk to realise that with the extra middle names of ‘Michel’ and ‘Marcel’ (and not ‘Michelle’ and ‘Marcelle’) I was of the male gender… My dad did not pick up the mistake either! It only came out when my parents moved to a different town…
However, to this day, I still get half of my mail addressed to either Ms or Mrs Jadoul…
Your parents could have named you Sue. [swg] Just like the song by Johnny Cash. [{(-_-)}] I know a man that is named Lavern, which is female sounding. Also another man named Carol. I am glad my parents named me William, which is male sounding at least.
