Is there any type of guide or way to convert Tamiya paint colos to a different brand such as Testors Model Master paint , my local hobby lobby only sells testor paint and i would rather not wait for the time it takes to ship a new set of paints from Squadren , i kinda sorta went on a little spree a couple days ago and bought 4 Tamiya kits without thinking about the paint that i use
Testor’s paint guide available at your local hobby shop.
You might try www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/colorcharts.asp You may not be able to convert all, but it should get you in the ballpark. I’m guessing since you posted in the aircraft forum that these are aircraft kits, see if your local LHS carries any reference material for these kits. If it does, you should be able to get the FS color callouts and check them against the Testors paint rack, provided they are the Model Master colors.
This publication has x-ref charts for all the paint manufacturers.
