how big

would a 1/18 scale be for a B-36, Hindenburg, Titanic, and the B-52?

B36 would be about 4ft 9 (ish) with the B52 not much smaller.

Hindenberg would be just short of 17 feet

Titanic would be a titanic 18+ feet

All the best (and looking forward to the scratchbuilds  )

OOPS![(-D]

Someone is using fuzzy math…the 1:18 B-25 that C21 is planning to release has a wing span of over 4 feet. A B-36 would be several times larger than that. Compare these two B-25s, one is 1:48 the other is I think 1:12. Now imagine a B-36 or B-52.

How about a 1:9 scale C-17? Half of this would be 1:18…think you’ve got room inside the house for it even at that scale?

I was told this is a 1:72 model of the Hindenberg

HawkeyeHobbies… "How about a 1:9 scale C-17? Half of this would be 1:18…think you’ve got room inside the house for it even at that scale? "

You could always make room or get a new house…

Was sure that post read 1/48th scale [%-)] ho well. Time for new specs methinks.

All the best.

I do have the room…but even so it would be an inconvience at times.

The B-36 would have a wingspan of about 12.5 feet.

At that size I’d expect jet sound, rotating props, movable surfaces (including the flaps) and an opening/closing bomb bay![:D]

3 M wingspan = about 10.2 feet, so this radio controlled flying model is just a bit shy…

GS

B-36:

Wing span 230 feet, 1/18 model = 12.7 feet

Length 162 feet, 1/18 model = 9 feet

B-52:

wing span 185 feet, 1/18 model = 10.3 feet

lenght 159 feet, 1/18 model = 8.8 feet

Titanic: Length 882 feet, 1/18 model = 49 feet

Hindenburg: Length 803 1/18 model = 44.6 feet

Those would all be some pretty big models.

Why build such a small Peacemaker? How about at action figure scale?

This one is 1/18 I think:
