A few…not too many. Well, the wifey wouldn’t say that. “You can only build one or two at a time…” Ha ha, tell that to Pixilater!
(Add one to the stash…another Hasegawa 1/48 F-14D on it’s way…OOP “Vandy” kit, should get that this week.)(I’ve got a thing for the F-14, in case you haven’t noticed.)
I’ve just got to say Wow! Wolf, and to add to Wolf’s thoughts on multiples of the same kits I’d like to say “different markings”, such as a line up of Navy F-8s or multinational Mig-21s, you get the idea. Oh yeah, 250+ kits in the stash plus 200+ decals, and add-ons, almost all are 1/72 a/c except for a new addiction (obsession) 1/700 US navy ships (about 15 or so). Don’t forget all the books and magazines. Phew!

O.K., here goes. Tamiya 1/32 F-14, Testors F-117, with another Tamiya car and Heller Santa Maria coming in from Ebay. Current build; Revelle 1/25 '67 Corvette big block. Wife says I have to finish one before I can buy a new one!
Always a fun thread… Currently I have around 25 unbuilt (w/more coming [:P]). The wife just shakes her head and tries to ignore the insanity steadily building in our storage closet! The second problem…Where do I display them all when I do build them???
Frank
They’re a problem to store when they’re unbuilt, as the boxes are usually LARGE, and then we have to surmount FJ’s problems. Where do you put them when they’re made, and how on earth do you find the time to build them all???
If I bought no more kits now, I reckon I still wouldn’t be done in about a year & a half. Saying that though, once I’ve finished converting my garage to a workshop, my progress should be much quicker, as everything will be to hand rather than cramped and packed away every night…
One a month is pretty quick… Mind you, I think I might be moving up a gear once my workshop’s finished. Komet 163 - My latest purchase, coincidentally! [:D] The Hasegawa 1/32nd beastie - another 50% off purchase from eBay.
Hmm, been meaning to take a pic for a while now. Maybe I’ll get around to it soon. Anyhow, at last count, it was somewhere around 100 kits, mostly 1/35 armor.
I have not had a lot of time to build recently, and working out in the heat just takes everything out of me by the end of the day. But I have had time to visit various LHS during my travels. I think I have around 125 to 150 kits and 95% of them are aircraft. My prize possession is “Rommel’s Rod” from 1969.
Hopefully I will be able to get back to build here soon.
Cheers,
Eric
17 considered to be not started but I intend to build (I’ve rescribed one; another was almost done before being torn apart in frustration and will probably be resurrected), 2 snap-tites that I don’t intend to complete, but may use as paint dummies, and 6 that are in progress.
I can only chime in with 11 unbuilt and 1 in progress.
I have a problem storing them and displaying them. Need to move to a bigger place but then I have buy more furniture. Catch 22.
Atleast I have my better half’s support…well more or less…she always motivates me by saying…“when are you going to build something”. Atleast she is prepared to buy me a new airbrush.
Yeah, I just acquired about 11 more models to add to my stash. It’s about up to 230+ models now. I’m going to a private sale on Saturday to see what else I can get too. Still, if I didn’t buy any more models for awhile, I’d have my stash burned down to 10 kits in about a year and a half at the current rate of building.
I just ran my database program and it tells me I have 325 unbuilt kits, mostly 1/72 aircraft, with 3 or 4 car models. I have another 100 plus built - 50 years of collecting and some building :-).
