um… did you say there was a desk in there somewhere?
lol - The desk pulls out of the wardrobe on rails… It is kinda small, innit?
oh, and those kits on the floor are usually stored somewhere else. God help me when the Buccaneer arrives - I’ll have to find somewhere new to store it.
Small or not it is better than nothing which is what I have at the moment. All my model stuff is in boxes at the moment as I moved into a new house last weekend. Haven’t figured out where my “stuff” goes yet. That can generally be a problem when you share your house with a wife, 3 kids, 2 cats and a Newt (ditched the 5 fish before the move). I will figure it out eventually.
Yup… is it a big house? Us Brits have to suffer tiny little houses unless we’re minted. Mine is worth £200,000 and is a small 3 bed semi-detached 2 storey. No cellar, no outbuildings other than the garage. Barely enough room for my fiancee & I, nevermind the Lurcher & the moggie.
All together I have 7 kit’s (not counting the one kit I’m building). 5 of them are German WWII aircraft, the 6th is a WWI German bi-plane and the last one is a WWI Russian Spad S.A.4. The kit am currently working on is a M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. I’m not planning to buy anymore kits until I exhaust all but two kits in my stash. It generally takes me about 2-5 months to finish one kit, so 7 kits can go a long way for me[:)].
hmmm. only about twenty five or so in my stash right now. but sixteen built this year. not many at all.

2 more sensible modellers… good on ya guys [;)]
i have about 60 right now, i started the week with 50. mostly aircraft, but a few tanks, ships, and cars.
mikeiw after you asked i had to recount 269 diff 38 duplicates
Well, uh, I’m in the over 800 range. Probably closer to 900. One of by buddies has over 1000 and neither one of us has completed a kit in years! And we are still buying when Hobby Lobby has their sales. Addmittedly not as much lately. I consider it part of my “retirement” package! Ha, ha! One of these days I need to enlarge my 12x16 ft. shop, aka Hanger No. 3.
I had 7 old kits (1/32nd) that I’d bought in Hawaii while workin’ for the Navy at Pearl. While/after major surgery and 30 days in ICU I decided to get back into the hobby. Being a subsriber to FMS for several years and looking at the accomplishments of others I’ve come back and built all 7 for my grandson. Each was a revistation of the neauances of how the hobby had reinvented itsself.
I’ve reduced my scale to 1/48th because of the number of WWII fighter a/c available and direritives. After getting out of the hospital I figured on a ‘model a month’ plan but tryin’ to do the best I can with what I got has put me behind the power curve, but I’m workin’ on it!
Out of 32 in my stash of 33 are ‘builders’; 1 used for ordance for a A-1H for my old squadron (22nd Special Ops Sq, NKP, Thailand).
My ‘Wish List’ is 16 kits long and I’m only waiting on sales to get’em!
Sometimes its the color schemes or decals that put me to sleep at night, or maybe that ‘sale’ model that I REALLY need for later!
Maybe its just not wanting to leave things unfinished…[:D][banghead][banghead]
Got 'bout 500 right now. Which is kinda a pain considering I live in the barracks and every single one is in my room![8] I don’t count the figure, weapons or accessories Sets. I do try to stay away from the bigger offerings but I do want to get my hands on a AMT 1/72 XB-70 and a few other bombers of that scale.[:p] Yes, it is a sickness! But it sends shivers down my bones when I think of all the kits that I lost to a fire couple of years b4 I came back into the service.[V] - Calvin
Collecting a large number of models, especially when it gets to the point where you obviously will never get them all built, is definately a sickness. But it is still a lot better than crack, heroin, meth, etc. I have not spent as much on models as a person who smokes even 1 pack of cigarettes per day. “Different strokes for different folks.”

Ain’t that the truth!
Let’s call it a compulsion… sounds better than a sickness, dunnit? There is a rational argument for buying some that you won’t be starting anytime soon - it’s incase the kit is discontinued, isn’t it? [;)]
Man, I got one[wow][yeah][tup]. A nimitz 350th. You all should open up your own hobby shops.[:o)][8D][:O]
Excel says: 42 unbuilt, 43 in various stages of completion, and 45 finished/on display
I am about the most unorgainzed person in the world, which is why my wife really hates having so many kits around. They are all stuffed into a closet and under the bed. I can’t wait until we can afford a house so I can have my own room in the attic.
FNG here. i just started into modeling for first time since i did a couple kits as a kid. it is something i’ve always wanted to do but planets were previously unaligned. so anyway now i am diving in and got my first ass-chewing today from my commander re kit purchases. I have about 15 alogether. i need to show her the ill number some of you cats have. whoa. definitely going to get the debit card statement first next month - so she won’t see the paint booth number$. CHA-CHING!
BWA-HA-HA-HA!!! (evil laugh, hands wringing maliciously, head tucked into shoulders, locking studio door and turning on the bench lights…)
I have got a 80+ stash, I have got the specifics on my site.
