They have what looks like a nice line of Soviet armored cars and trucks.
Yah. they are OK, and the only ones around for certain subjects. Eastern European, so don’t expect tamiya fit. Other than that they are pretty good.
I find the plastic to be very soft and will mar if you stare at it crossly. Some of the applique armor they include in their kits would scale out to about 4 feet thick. Decent kits overall though.
I agree with Major Rob. They do have soft plastic that you need to be careful with. Otherwise, they do build up well without many fit problems. Unlike many other Eastern European kits, these don’t have very much flash if any. The detail is nice, and the kits look very impressive once built, painted and weathered. If you want examples, I can post pics of some of my PST kits I’ve built. You can also search out threads by MWard who has done outstanding work on several PST kits.
I built thier T54 and T55 for the Russian GB. There were 2 problems with the kits. The mantlets were wrong and the rear hull plates didn’t fit very well. Everything else was good. The link-n-length tracks are very good. Adding fuel lines, hand rails and stowage clips with some wire goes a long way. Here are some pictures
here’s one of mine. they’re generally pretty good kits but you do have to modify some parts to make things fit right. for example, on the kv’s the two halves of the drive sprockets will have different number and hence spacing of teeth. i ended up cutting off the teeth on the inside half. otherwise pretty good detail. no PE included like in UM kits though.
i love them i am hooked on eastern euro armor anyway but
i bought 2 for 350 each last yr and a couple months later i got 9 more from 3.25 -4.95 each true no photo etch like um but for these prices i dont complain
It sounds like these are great kits for devloping your modelling skills, and from what I’ve seen, can build into some very nice kits, and you still have some loose change in your pocket! Semper Fi, Mike
Yes, and plenty of spare parts for the Parts Box too! Almost enough to build another complete tank.
Cheapest place in the US to get them is from Alanger at http://www.alanger.us
