Homemade Paint Shaker

I made a paint shaker out of an old saw and some other junk. Almost everything was free.

Here’s a short video of how I did it and showing it working.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Haok6-_AS7k

Now that’s a paint shaker that can tame any bottle of settled paint no matter how stubborn. When I built mine I used a jig saw that was no longer needed.

A creative way to shake bottles of paint but it’s best to stir them first before shaking. Most times paint pigments settles in the bottom.

I’d like a shaker for rattle cans. I’ve been using them so much lately, I’m getting tennis elbow!

I’ve been thinking about that too. I got an idea for one. I need a motor, couple pulleys and some aluminum bar stock, along with miscellaneous hardware. A speed control and a timer would be nice too. I’ll wait till a motor comes my way.

I saw one over on Youtube, but to me it kind of looked like an accident waiting to happen. The wife is very understanding, but I think she’d draw the line at firing a paint can through the garage wall.

Or you could simply stir with a simple coffee stirrer instead. What is the world coming to with too many lazy folks using machines to do the work? LOL!

There’s nothing lazy about creating something that works [;)]

A lot of times I end up throwing away more paint on the stick than I use. Since they stopped making Floquil I’ve been really conserving every drop that I have.
