Hold & Fold - 4" or 8"?

Hold & Fold - 4" or 8"?

O.K. Can someone tell me the difference between
the 4" and 8" Hold & Fold PE tool?

Besides the obvious dimension, and price.

Thanks,

James (who is really having PE troubles - LOL!)

The 8 inch has a couple more fingers on it and has two screws holding it down instead of one. I don’t know that it has any serious advantages over the 4 inch, unless you’re doing long pieces like ship rails or side skirts for a tank. For a couple of bucks more than getting the 8 inch, you can get the Hold & Fold set, with a cutting aid and a rolling set for curves and cylinders.

It is on the SmallShopEu site… depends on what you are modeling really…but the two clamps are the way to go…better pressure and no lifting of the head at the edge, this you can get with all the single knob units on the market (you can solve it by shimming the other end with a bit of scrap brass)

Thanks!

I think I will go with the 8" version.
