Anybody got one ? or read any reviews ? any thoughts,I would be interested but need to hear more about it as it has a hefty price tag.
AeroScale did an In-Box review of the kit. Looks pretty good I think. It has a few more options than the Hasegawa kit. I hope the fit will be better.

Hard to me to justify when I can buy four of the updated Revell/Monogram F-14B’s or D’s for the same price.
It will be interesting to see a report when someone actually builds one of them. Hard to believe it can be that much better than the Hasegawa kit. I never get too excited over a “in-the-box” review.

I really liked it when Hobby Boss was the inexpensive alternative to some other manufacturers. In my opinion, with their high priced kits as of late, they’re just another Trumpeter. Another readily available subject in the same scale as all the others with a ridiculous price tag attached.

Their kits are cheaper if you order them on Ebay or other hobby dealers from Asia. The US distributer jacks up the kit prices.
You can get one on Ebay for around $60 USD…thats with shipping.
Have to eat my words…Ordered one last night off Ebay for $58 including freight.

Please let us know your opinions and obervations, before I drop $60.00 I like to know what i’m getting
thanks
I have the kit. What would you like to know about it? It looks pretty in the box (like most new kits). I haven’t checked it completely for accuracy yet as I don’t have any F-14 books here on the road with me, but at first glance it seems the shape of the intakes might be off.
I don’t go crazy over that stuff,if it looks like a tomcat, its good enough for me.I guess I’m talking about the future build, how the it went together, pitfalls and fit issuesand the like.Guess I’ll have to wait for a blog or build up review.
It showed up on my doorstep yesterday.
Initial reaction:
Looks OK in the box. Parts breakdown appears very similar to the Hasegawa kit, but with a better gun and of course the engines. Instructions seem a bit vague about some things. It would definitely be a challenge if you’d never built an F-14 before.
Since I paid for all that extra plastic it would be a shame to cover it up. Thinking about building it with all the engine access and gun doors open to show them off. Maybe like it was undergoing depot level maintenance.
No idea about the fit of anything until I get it on the bench. Need to get a couple of other projects finished and out of the way first.

good luck with it,if you build it in the near future, post some pics.
