Actually, I did…didn’t buy aircraft though–went for a Dragon T-34/76 (1941) and a Tamiya Panther…$26 total…man doth not live by planes alone… [:D]

I’ve stopped by two of the local HLs and haven’t found anything that I NEED to have. I wish they’d get some different 1/48 planes - I’d love to have a Hurricane or an ME110…
No I have not been there yet. I have most of what they carry instock anyhows. Tho last week all paint was 1/3 off so I did stock up on that [;)]
I buy most of my kits online or every now and then I find a good catch at a yard sale or auction.

There selection at first glance is pretty big but it really isn’t.
Of all the Tamaya, Revell, Hasagawa (actually, they have NO Hasagawa or Testors) etc, kits out there, they have like 4 or 5 planes each to choose from.
I wished they would expand there line a little.
They have very few selections from each manufacturer.
Maybe I keep getting there after its been picked clean.
The Hobby Lobby here in Fort Smith has plenty of Hasegawa and Trumpeter and Accurate Miniatures. Actually a fairly decent selection, all in all.
I’ll be heading that way later this morning.
went and got my Hasegawa AV-B Harrier II Plus. Now if they would just get the Hasegawa Super Bug in, and of course I’ll still have to buy 2 more Bones.[:D]
I picked up a Hasegawa 1/72 Heinkel He111H-6 for 40% off two weeks ago. Last week I got a Tamiya 1/35 M4A3 Sherman tank for 50% off. Now my wife just printed off three 40% coupons for this week. Decisions, decisions…[:D]
I have most of what they have that I want, but I bought a Revell 1/48 F9F recce Panther anyway. I love recce birds of any kind.

Got a 1/144 Revell E-2C Hawkeye and a Testors 1/72 F4U-1 Corsair…they were cheap to begin with and even cheaper with the discount. More small planes to keep my hands occupied until Dec. or Jan. when I finally get an airbrush.
Also bought a die-cast model car as a gift for a little cousin of mine. It wasn’t supposed to have gotten the discount but the girl at the register marked it down anyways. I wasn’t going to argue…
Picked up the the Monogram F-106 and Recce Panther for less than $15. Kind of reminds you of the old days at the dime store!

Missed it again. I was out three days with a spider bite and then had to bust butt in order to pay bills[:(]
I picked up another 1/32 AH-1G Cobra and the AccMin TBM George Bush Avenger.
I bought the Avenger with intentions of converting it to a TBM, Inc. borate bomber until I saw the detail (this is my first AccMin kit). Now I can’t bring myself to cut up the kit for the conversion (WHAT DETAIL!!!) Now, I’ll have to wait until the next sale and get another. Maybe with another I MIGHT be able to cut ONE up!!! [:O]
Randie - I don’t think you could find an AM kit without that kind of detail… even the little F3F-2 I am building looks so good once you get the cockpit together you can’t help but smile!
I went down yesterday and picked up the AM F3F (second one, for another GB, I liked the kit that much!!), another AM SBD-3 (can’t have too many Dauntlesses now, can we?) and a Tamiya A6M2 … very basic kit but will suffice to try out a custom mix of paint matching that on a recently recovered Zero on j-aircraft.com…
My hobby lobby is getting a decent variety… they really are starting to carry a decent selection of jets… the ones I have been hearing about here… Academy F-15 or 16 I can’t remember, F-18, 1/32 Tamiya F-14 etc… for WWII they just picked up the Tamiya Pfiel two seater trainer nicknamed the “Anteater” I wanted that kit but needed the others so it will have to wait… an ugly plane!! more and more Hasegawa, Dragon and Tamiya stuff, less Revell and old Academy…

Looking at the Avenger, makes me kick myself in the butt for not picking up the AM B-25. Hobby Lobby had them reduced for clearance about 3 or 4 months ago. They had 5 of them at $14.99 each!! Oh well, I’ll know better next time.
I bought $300 worth of stuff, and of course only spent $150 doing it.

I just got into modeling about a month ago, so this sale could not have hit at a better time for me. I have enough stuff to keep me busy for several months, and I didn’t even mention the Tamiya 1:350 USS Missouri that I had delivered last week on top of all this stuff. I guess I want to do it all.
