Oh yeah!!! I watch the paper every week for the next sale, I’m sure glad someone mentioned the coupon here, I own almost all the HL Tamiya armor from previous sales and now I will pick up the ones I don’t have yet, better make some room.
Hey drucifer67,
Thanks for the heads up. Been checking the HL site for the last several weeks to see if they had a sale, and don’t you know today would be the one day I forget to check.
I appreciate your posting. Looks like I’ll be heading to HL tomorrow.
Regards,
Joe
wait, whats the deal with this sale? can i use this coupon at any hooby store or just hobby lobby stores? if it can only be used at a hobby lobby store, does anyone know of one in the new york city area?
The states shown in color on this map are the only ones with Hobby Lobby locations. Sorry, NY isn’t one of them.
Panther 44, I’ve been checking the coupon page every week, too. Even added it to my IE favorites to make it simple. I check it every Sunday morning (or Saturday night, if I’m up really late!)
When I clicked on the link this morning, I expected to see “20% Off Floral Accessories and Little-Old-Lady Crap” …imagine my surprise…
And, on a side note, this is my 100th post!!! Anxious to see whether I lose the “Box-Stock” ranking…
Thanks for the heads up and link to the Hobby Lobby 50% of Sale. I have had a $150 gift certificate for Hobby Lobby for two months waiting on a Sale. I’m an Aircraft fan myself but check out you Armor Guys occassionally. I like Shermans and have a few. Might pick up the 105mm version tomorrow along with some more aircraft.
I laid awake part of the night going over all the model shelves at hobby lobby in my mind, I know them by heart and already have a mental list of what I will be picking up after work today, as long as no one else has beat me to it.
But the good news is, I got a whole load of stuff for my money!
*Tamiya Panther A 1/35
*Tamiya Panther G 1/35
*Tamiya Sherman 105 1/35
*Academy 1/72 FW190D w/Kubelwagen (I just had to see what the Kubel would look like in that scale LOL)
*Dragon SU-122 tank destroyer (the only Dragon kit in the place–I swear they should just change the name to Tamiya Lobby)
*A couple Tamiya figure sets (German machine gun troops and assault infantry w/winter gear, because you can never have too many Germans)
*Tamiya jerry cans (because I was on a roll and couldn’t stop picking up kits)
And the best part of all? I even found a place to hide the stash so the wife won’t notice!
I excercised restraint. Got another Marder III, Panther G, and Pak 40 - all Tamiya ofcourse, and all for $44!!! Can’t beat that. I may go back later and get the Tamiya Williams-BMW F1 they had there, I just can’t decide if I want to digress to building an auto or not.
EDIT - BTW - I was behind a guy in line who had 3 CARTS FULL (and I mean full, bottom rack and all), he spent more than $1G, I couldn’t hear the exact total - plans to resell ofcourse, but HOLY $#!@!!!
