Hobby Craft/Trumpeter F4F-Midway Era

Ye Olde freehand-painted, no masking bristle brush.

With cowling and prop off-nice engine in this kit.

Hobby Craft/Traumpeter kits are the kind that after you build one, you definately need to “deprogram” before you build another. LIke maybe take a year or so off!

Here the clear coat discolored the paint-not always worth it.

The kit’s wing tie-backs are literally little steel rods-not nice.

This one I keep “under glass” in a special display case.

I might go back and touch-up the inner wings, though.

Aye Carumba! Did you just finish all of these? If so, my kudos to you[bow]. also kudos on your great brush painting. Great job

Very nice work Tom. Is that the 1:32 scale one? Looks like it. I did the Trumpie 1:32 F4F also and you’re right, it’s wise not to do another big one for a while!

Good job…

Andy

Wow, you keep on posting 'em! I have not tried a Trump kit, a little turned off by the price and some of the issues. Well done Tom.
