I just got back from the hobby shop to get my Hobby Boss Pershing. Looks good! At least it’s not a reissue. The parts are clean and there is a small fret of PE for the grill inside the engine compartment. The rubber band tracks which has good sharp detail can be cemented with plastic cement. The parts look more like the Tamiya Pershing. it also has the turnbuckles for a much later version (M46?) I’ll post again as soon as I get to look at the sprues more carefully. But it looks good to me. Can’t wait to start the build. It’s just a pity that they did not include the full interior having gone to so much trouble detailing the engine compartment.
Anxiously awaiting this one…
pics!!
Hmmmm, I didn’t know HobbyBoss came out with a Pershing kit…what scale?[?]
1/35
It was actually announced late last year but it hit the market just about now. It is a good kit. you can get you money’s worth. it is even cheap. In Manila where I live, it goes for about $18.00.
Well Hobbyboss does not seem to have the gouging importer on their armor kits so it may be reasonably priced here stateside.
The turnbuckles on the rear fenders is an M26A1 and later feature.

Great photos, Rob. Can you tell what those items dangling below the “C-35” on the bustle are? A couple look like canteen cups.
Rob, what is that platform hanging off the back of the turret in the second pic? Some manner of improvised bustle ring?
thinkin maybe I need to find me one o’them Tamiya Pershings…it would be my first US armor build in about 20 years…
The Tamiya Pershings build up quickly, well-engineered kits. And they’re pretty accurate for a post-Zebra Mission tank. A couple of tweaks and they’ll build into one of the early ones too. I’ve built a couple, one for a “1946” scenario GB and one for pure pleasure, and have one more in the stash. I can do one at the kitchen table instead of the model room, so it’s a good one to do while watching football with the wife…
A pic, shows both of the two I’ve done.

I think I’ll have to try HB’s kit as well…
Thanks for the info and the photo Rob. Now I can use the turnbuckles. It has a hole in the fender which has to be covered if it cannot be used.
