It looks alright. Way too much mud for my taste, but to each thier own. That much mud just covers up detail and it looks too goopy, especially with a dry and cracked looking ground. The mud looks way too grainy, like you took dirt from outside and smeared it all over. The interior under the open hatches should be dark green (if NATO camo) or sand (if sand camo) though, Italeri got it wrong when it tells you to paint it white. The palm tree looks great. Did you make it or is it an AM item?
Well, if you’re happy, that’s good. But you’ve posted for the world to see.
I’m not sure what look you were trying for, but the material really doesn’t work. If you want to indicate dust, try going with chalk pastels. They will blend better and give a more scale appearance. If it’s mud you’re after, the surface should be smoother, darker and shinier for fresh mud and smoother and cracked for dried mud. The dirt/mud is all over everything, including the interior of the hatches and the figure, but the floor is spotless.
Also, when applying your ground work, taping off the base will provide a nicer looking display so you a nice even demarkation line.
Looks like it has been through a muddy hell [;)]. Ganda, bro!
Thanks for the kind words and copy on the constructive comments heavyarty,AJ and dwight. i just made the palm tree…and the vehicle really hits not only the dusts, but also the mud[:D]
