Hi there from a warbird modeler!

I’ve had a prolific year building models with 5 P-40s, a Spitfire, a B-52, a F7F Tigercat and a P2-V7 Neptune completed to this point. So I decided to take a break from those old flying machines (before embarking on a couple of WWII medium bombers, a B-25 and B-26) to build a couple of cars. These are kits my son got last year for Christmas from someone who didn’t realize he has no interest in building models ([:(] - he’s more interested in things like real cars, trucks actually, girls, high school interests, etc).

Anyway, the first one I’ve completed is a Revell Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert Monte Carlo. No paint on the exterior. I hand-painted everything on the underside and interior, although I still have a bit of touch-up painting on the underside, plus a little weathering. Decals were not fun to deal with but went down very well with Microsol.

The next car, which I’ve just begun, is also a Revell kit of a Pontiac Firebird that I’m going to biuld as the “Bandit”'s car from Smoky and the Bandit.

Anyway, here’s the Monte Carlo.

nice work. I am also a warbird modeller. hence my handle “hurricane40”. I also like to mix it up once in a while. did the odd airline model in 1/144 scale. how about a Jeff Gordon next time. we love him up here in Canada! still working on a 1964 mercury maurader.
