Hi Everyone

I am new to the FS modeling forum and just wanted to say hi to everyone here.
I am 44 and have rediscovered modeling over the last year or so. My favorite subject is WWII aircraft but will definately do some other stuff (armor, subs,…etc) somewhere down the road.
I usually stick with 1/48 scale. My fingers are too blasted big and clumsy and the parts are way too tiny for me and 1/72nd scale to get along. I tried one which came out fine but that was enough for me[xx(] I am additcted to photo etch detailing.
Right now I am working on a Tamiya 1/32 A6M5 Zero and it is coming along pretty well so far. The kit is really good and detailed all ready but I went ahead and got a pe set for the engine detailing which really adds to that with ignition wires and lots of other tiny parts that I don’t know the names of[:I]
If it is working correctly in my profile you can go to my web site and check out pics of the models I have completed so far. I’ll take and appreciate any feedback you wish to give.

Good modeling to all and look forward to hearing from you,
Wayne

Welcome to the fourms, Wayne! Nice homepage you have, though i thought maybe i had the wrong site for a while because i thought i was seeing reference pics. I like your Corsair!

I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to post a pic of it here so the others can see your work (if you want it removed just tell me):

it’s a really good picture too! [:D]

Welcome to FSM Wayne. Nice website … took a quick stroll around.

Enjoy the forums !!!

Thanks guys for the good words.
That is perfectly fine with me for posting any of my pics you like. The corsair is the last kit I just completed and am really happy and a little proud of it. That is my first attempt at weathering with a silver pencil to simulate chipped and wore paint. I need a little more work and experience to make it somewhat more realistic. Especially on places like the wing root where there should be some very worn spots from the pilot getting in and out of the aircraft…etc…
The picture doesn’t seem to appear in your reply tho…at least not on my computer.

Thanks again guys. Having fun with the models and making friends on sites like this is what makes the hobby so blasted fun.

Me again… that is weird.
When I read your replies the pic of my model didn’t show up.
After I replied again and got returned to the thread it now shows up???
Oh well…[^] The ‘NET’ be a strange creature at times…
