I FOUND SOME OF MY OLD MONOGRAM TANK KITS IN THE ATTIC AND JUST BOUGHT THE 2 NEW RERELEASES these are i beleive 1/32 scale can i use any 1-35 scale pieces with these in a diorama? i plan on using the included figures that came with the mono kits i also found a old testors diorama kit with a wall and the like in it i ask because i have been gettingt mixed answer’s THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INFO
Probably the different scale ‘pieces’ won’t look right - but you will have to decide that. Is the “old testors kit” the 1/35 stuff? If its something like a wall section it might work fine. Note that various companies seem to have a different interpitation of the given scales too. I have some nice resin figures from Warriors that are sold as 1/35 but are really 1/32(54mm). They don’t look at right at all next to Dragon figures at about 52mm tall, so I had to change plans and not use them together. The 2mm ain’t much, but you gotta look at things like the size of the head, and compare thier gear. If it looks right it’s probably ok, if it doesn’t, you may regret it.
Happy modeling…Indy
OK…It depends on how anal you want to be. A 6 foot tall soldier in 1/35 would be 2.05 inches tall while at 1/32 he would be 2.25 inches tall. Thus the 1/35 figure would be a 5 foot 5 inch tall soldier. That is the math of the figures or the scale.
Reality is at a normal viewing distance the slight difference in scale…~10% is not going to stick out. Just don’t put 2 vehicles of different scales right next to each other and you will be fine.
