What kind of pervert do you think I am??? It’s my burner can on the J7W2 … (shaking head) some people.
All right, here are pictures of my can.
I cut the interior of the engine face out then built a new burner can with styrene sheet and an odd spinner cover I found in the spares box.
The spinner cover was sanded down to remove the original propeller slots and give an appropriate size, glued to the old engine face and inserted into the new can.
The can sidewalls were painted with Tamiya Burnt Iron, the burner fan was done with brass and the cone is Model Master Steel.
I still need to do some clean-up on the putty and some of the panel lines but she is coming along nicely.

Does the Tamiya Burnt Iron look authentic enough? I used to use Jet Exhaust from Model Master, but it doesn’t look ‘burnt’.

Authentic??? I couldn’t tell you for sure. This is a complete fantasy build so I guess anything could be authentic here. Normally I don’t build jets but this one is special.
