Hello fellas this is the Testors P-51D in 1/48, its my first attempt using Alclad and i must say i am very pleased, i used “Polished Aluminum”. This beauty is gonna be named Miss Miami, i guess it was a plane that was somewhere in England in 1945 and served with the 79th Fighter Squad. Anyway, i really hope that you like it and that that you enjoy this pics, please tell me what you think[:D]
looking good so far hector!![tup][tup] i have 2 stangs on the workbench now in the sanding and polishing stage getting ready for alclad. hope mine turn out as well as yours. later.
Looking good so far mandrake. Maybe after the 2 F-35’s and the Yak-1 and the Il-2m3 for the Accurate Miniatures group build I might just have to try using alclad on one of my old kits just to see if I like it or not.
I guess I am going to have to try a NM finish one of these days.
NM is something that has always scared me. But, I gotta face my demons sooner or later. [}:)]
Looks like the gloss black primer worked out pretty good!
Great job on the horse!!!
Refresh my memory…is Alclad something that can be sprayed on and has to be later buffed?? Is it more reflective than Testors Model Metalizer??? The metalizer is OK but does not give that super shiny finish…Thanks
