what kind of tracks the hetzers use?? i’m building the tamiya 1/48 and would like to know if there’s an aftermarket set for them,and for the stug III B too,thanx
Hetzers had two types of tracks, depending on their production dates. The late style track came into use in the summer of 1944. The Tamiya 1/48th scale kit is a mid-production model and has the earlier style tracks, though Hetzers could be seen after this date with either style track. A quick search through Great Models Webstore, which will usually find anything related to a particular kit, did not find any AM tracks for this kit or the Stug III B.

Here are resin tracks for 1/48 Pz III/IV. They’re the later style with the cleats and solid guide horn, though. They would have to be modified for a StuG IIIB. There may be some width issues with the StuG IIIB as well, I’m not sure.
