Hi all! FSM is off to HeritageCon 17 in Mount Hope, Ontario, Canada, this weekend. Hope to see some of you there. I’ll also post some pics from the road and from the show floor here for those who can’t make it. If you’re there, make sure to check your models often–we may have tagged one of them for a photo for the FSM show gallery.
Nice! Road trip! Have fun Tim!
Road Trip! Stock up on the Red Bull and the Pork Rinds and crank up Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” Tim! I’d love to get up there just once to see the builds, the museum, and especially the Lancaster.
Can’t wait to see some more photos, Tim. And what an awesome table site!
I was lucky enough to get to spend some time ogling that Lanc at Airventure last summer. It is really impressive, and the black paint job just makes it more so. Not to mention the music of four Merlins!
Great photos Tim! Hope that you’re having a great time and I hope that you have a safe trip back to Wisconsin.
That’s awesome, looking forward to all the pictures.
Great photos!
I wish the EAA Museum in Oshkosh had a model event similar to that. People have tried in the past to get one started, but no such luck.
WhatIfRebel, years and years ago the EAA did host some model shows. I know that the W.A.M. and Bong Clubs have held contests there in the past. I don’t know the reason why there aren’t any shows held there now but my guess is $.
Folks! It is a madhouse (cue the Anthrax) out there on the floor. I worked my way through the crowd and snapped as many photos as I could. Here’s a sampling of what is out there.
That’s awesome, nice to see all ages there as well not just old timers
What’s great about this show is the spectrum of people: young, old, crosses genders and ethnicities. It’s a show that I have been saying for years should be emulated. Not only modelers here, but the public, too.
Just incredible work there! Thank you Tim for attending this show & sending us these photos. The sailing ship at the wharf, the Nautilus & squid, and the seated Franenstein breaking free from its chains are my personal favorites.
