Here, Mig Mig Mig !

Leon.

Kind of a “Plain Jane” Sabre. I like them with the yellow/black ID bands & checkerboards on the tail. Let me guess, Monogram 1/48 kit ?

Regards, Rick

Nope, Esci 1/48. I was going for the plain look, and consentrated on ALL
of the data stencils. This thing is covered with them.

Nice Sabre, Leon, thanks! [:)]

Take care,
Frank

Yaaaa! I had the kit guessed right and you jumped me. I made my first Sabre by kitbashing a Monogram and an ESCI kit, taking the best of both, wings of one, fuselage of the other. Tub of one, Seat of the other. And on and on, until I had an F-86E I was proud of. Then we got the Hasegawa Sabres and it was no longer necessary.
Which brings up a question some of you may be familiar with, but it’s new to me: I was reading a review of another kit last night and the guy just wrote in passing something about the wing sweep on the HAS Sabres being all wrong. Well, I have one on the bench and one on the shelf, and I’m wondering if this is something everyone knows but me. That’s the way the guy mentioned it, as though it were common knowledge. What’s the deal there?

Nice Sabre there, Leon. Suggestion: When you post a new thread about one of your models, how about including the kit brand, scale and a few notes about the building process, such as paint used, hand or air brush, AM parts used, any problems encountered during building, etc. Most modelers are interested in these things, but usually won’t ask. Thanks,

Darwin, O.F. [alien]

Thanks Darwin for the advise, I’ll try to do better in the future.
But to be honest with you, most of the planes I have shown lately,
were build over 10 years ago, so all the details of there construction,
are a little sketchy, at best.
I have only resently got into posting pictures of my kits, and I
guess that has been my focus,(I’m not the smartest, when it comes to computers).
I was just thrilled to get the pictures to work, and have anyone comment on them.

Sorry to all others that feel the same!

I WILL work on this!

Leon.

Excellent job, Leon!
