Help with shades of green.

My wonderful LHS closed a month ago.[BH] All the resource books, gone. All the paints, gone. All the…well you know where this is going. I now need some paints and will have to order them without the benifit of seeing them. Because I can’t see a paint chart or look at the bottles to guesstimate the proper colors I am going to need some help. I need the correct colors for the following items. If you know the correct color or the aproximate color please let me know. I use acrylics and primarly use MM or Tamiya paints.

US neoprine sleeping mat

The green fabric on a sleeping cot

.50 cal ammo cans

Back packs

A willy pete(water proof) bag

Thanks for all your help, Greg.

Hey Greg.

Why don’t you grab a few different shades like Olive drab, black green, intermediate green, ect.Get some black and a yellow and maybe a dessert yellow and you can custom mix.

I agree, the best bet is to get a few different shades. No two pieces of gear are the exact same shade of green due to fading, wear, manufacturer, etc.

Ditto on the various shades. There is so much military equipment that is (duh) olive green. I usually pick up two shades of green, some black, yellow, and white, and mix different shades.

Also, if you know what colours you used before, order those same ones…
