Help for Hawker Tempest V cockpit color......

Hi all……next time I’ll start a new built: Hawker Tempest V 1\48 Eduard…so I’m studying this subject and I’ve find same difference of opinion about the cockpit color. In the istruction sheet Eduard suggest to use Barley Gray, while I was sure it was painted in Aircraft grey green (FS34227)…but serching on the net I’ve founded on a dedicated site that :“Note, the interior color of all Hawker aircraft from the WWII Typhoon to present day commercial jets is actually satin black, not interior grey/green.”…What do you think about??? This is the link were I’ve found this info…check in the “cockpit” section… http://www.hawkertem…emyPetersen.htm

Ciao from Italy!!

I believe it is all flat black. I’ve seen some people paint the upper half black, and the lower half British Gray/green (H312). Sometimes on the Typhoon the tubing was painted aluminum. Good luck Enrico! And please post pics of the Tempest here!

Thanks Nathan…In practise…I can do…like I prefer!!!When Ill start this kit surely post the wip!Ciao from Italy!

I had no idea the cockpits were black. Very informative! I’ve got one of these in the stash that I intend to build soonish.
