I just started on the Tristar Panzer I, Ausf A. What a pleasure to build. Great detail and fit, no flash ect ect.
I decided to put an interior in it, a lot of stuff in a little tank!
Anyway, my point is, this is the first non-Dragon, Italeri or Tamiya kit Ive built. When did Tristar come out?
The big boys need to watch out.
They have a Pz IV due out in a few weeks. Very nice looking kit.

Tristar has been out for a couple of years. In addition to the very nice Panzer I, they have figure sets, resin interior kit for the Panzer I and a well detailed 20mm Flak 38. I can’t wait to get their Panzer IV D.
Nice to hear about that kit as I’ve got one for the Pz I build and I’ve never done one of their kits. The Pz IV looks interesting too.
Tristar, Tasca and Fine Molds are smaller Japanese model companies that make some nice kits.

There figure sets are great, well worth buying if you enjoy adding figures to your armor
They have nice figure sets as well , not as detailed as most resin fig kits mind you , but good enough to crew up any tank or SPG , just buy some hornet heads and these will do just fine .
Best of all they are pretty inexspensive !
The kit figures look pretty good. They are going on the tank. Im using the Verlinden resin Interior set, also a good little kit. As a redirect, Ive built Academy also, they put out quality also.
I thought about this for a little while, does anyone remember the OLD Monogram stuff, like Shep Piane used for his Dios? I built quite a few of those and the old Tamiya stuff wiht the battery compartments when I was a kid.

Oh yes, I remember Shep Paine’s diorama inserts. I still have the M4 Hedgehog one. My favorite was the M34 deuce and a half truck doing a mail call.
