Been out of the hobby for a while but got the modeling bug again. Was pretty active in the late 70’s to early 80’s, but had to stop for a while when I went into the Army, kinda killed the hobby but not the desire. But now I got time to build again.
But do have a question what are these weekend kits that I have seen advertised, Are they for beginers or people like me who have been out of the hobby for a while and need something to help get back into the swing of things, Before I try a more detailed Model.

As for your question, the “Weekend edition” kits advertised by Eduard are relatively simple kits to build, without all of the fancy photo etch parts and pre-cut masks for things like canopies. They only provide one marking option, so that might limit you a bit unless you have other decals to use.
If you are looking for a relatively cheap kit to build that is easy to build, accurate, and easily available- the current generation of Tamiya kits are VERY hard to beat. Their Spitfire, FW-190, ME-109, and P-47 kits are some of the best out there. [tup]
Welcome to the Forums & back to the Hobby [#welcome]. Frank covered your question on Weekend kits. They are the same plastic as the stanard kits but without the extra goodies and at a lower price.
