Hello, Fine Scale Modeler community, my name is Jay and I like building scale models (Shocking, I know). I particularly enjoy building 1/35th and 1/72nd scale AFV but am finding myself venturing into different subject matter as time goes on. I started out building models when I was a kid, but found myself obsessed with the hobby again more than 15 years later. I am quickly finding that I am burning not only my free time, but a hole in my wallet :p.
I typically try to build a few kits a month as time allows ( a baby takes up most of my time), and also video my builds for my YouTube channel, which I launched a month ago. I look forward to getting to know this community, seems like a really great place from the little bit I’ve already read.
Hi Jay! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard.
I have built whatever strikes my fancy for the last 72 years of my 78 year life. That is as long as my wallet said OK. My favorites are WWI & WWII planes followed by sailing ships as you can see by my avatar.
I try to do 1 or 2 a month but sometimes don’t make it, sometimes I do.
If you have any problems or questions just ask. The members are very knowledgeable and ready to help out.
Well , Welcome Aboard .The Miniature human will require a more than equal amount of time .Give it and then whilst He or She sleeps you can model again ! Good on you . T.B.
Super new, Have 4 videos out which barely anyone sees lol… I am currently working on a video my latest project, might be the best one I have made yet. Hopefully its enjoyable!
Just want to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome…Didnt know I had to have every single reply checked by mods first so I’ll keep it brief… Even when you edit your own post…pretty stringent.
Yeah, it’s quite a pain when you’re new and have to have your posts checked out first. After a few posts, you get cleared as a “good” guy [;)], and all will be fine.
Will be checking out your youtube channel in a bit.
Really nice work on the video’s. In focus, with perfect time lapse, and the entire process is explained succinctly. What’s better is the model looks terrific!
