I have only done two auto kits in my 26 years of the hobby so I am clueless as to what kits are available. Has anyone ever made any kits of hearse’s? New or old body styles does not matter. I have always liked the look of a hearse[}:)] and since it is close to halloween I thought I might try to build a few.

I did one way back in the 60’s I think it was an Aurora 50 thomthing cadilac hears. That was a day or two ago and hadn’t thought about it since. Thanks for the flash back. The reason I think it was Aurora was it had no crome parts.

Maybe you could convert the Ghost Busters ride into a Hearse…
Or then there’s the Jaguar E-Type (XKE) that Bud Court turned into a hearse in the movie “Harold and Maude”…it looked cool.

I thought about the ghostbusters sled. I’ll prolly go get it tomorrow and see what I can do. Hey…that was my hundreth post…cool.

johan made a hearse in the early 70s, they also used the same mold for the ambulance, the ambulance is readily avalible on ebay, i have seen the hearse on ebay as well but not that much.

and a flash back . aurora kit was an ambulance, but it was done up as a surf wagon , had some college kids on the box art. seems to me like it was a packard , or oldsmobile, not quite sure about that. i have seen it on ebay as well but it had a heavy price.

I saw that surf wagon as well. Was goin for about $65 I think. Looks like it would need a lot of modification though. I think I’ll try the ghostbusters ride first. My local Hobby Lobby has about 10 of them.

good choice, 65 bucks is kind of high, you go through that period when you get a high priced kit thats been o o p for a while and you kind of hate to build it.the ghoastbuster ride would only need some work done on the inside, the smoked glass in the rear is a nice touch as well for a hearse. good luck with your build.

I got two of the ghostbusters sleds. Gonna experiment on 1 and see what I can do to the other.
