This is the 1/72 Hasegawa kit. No problems whatsoever were encountered with this build except attaching the tiny PE parts I used in the cockpit.[|(] The only gripe I have is the surface engraving is a little deep for this scale and wish I would have used a lighter wash. I admit it’s too stark in contrast and yes…over done. But, what’s done is done and I’m happy with the over all results. Nice little kit, excellent fit, zero filler, highly recommended.
I just realized looking at this build that I have 0, zilch, nada German aircraft in my stash! I think its that mottle that most of them have that scares me[:O]
Looks great! At first I thought it was 48 scale with the level of detail and paint job you did. That is amazing work in 1/72 scale. Makes me want to start on my 1/48 scale one in the closet. Great work!
Jerry, your work is stunning. I can;t imagine the manhours you must have poured into this. Very, very nice depcition of the 111. Personally I think your weathering adds to the scale effect and gives it more reaslism.
By chance, will this be entered in any competitions?
I see nothing wrong with the weathering or wash, it looks excellent. very realistic looking. the builder always sees his own errors, I do this alot myself.
That green house nose is the reason I don’t do alot of bombers. I hate painting canopies.
[tup] Fabulous job on that -111. I wouldn’t call your weathering overdone, I’d call it superb. And having built the Monogram 1/48 -111 and griped the entire time masking that canopy, I can only imagine the patience you had to have to do that job in 1/72.
very well done indeed. I do not think that its over done at all. I think you did a supurb job and I think you should be very happy with the way it turned out…
