Hasegawa's / Revells 1/48 SH-3H seaking ?

I saw Hasegawa’s 1/48 scale Sikorsky SH-3H Seaking along with Revells offering in the hobby store today . Hasegawa’s kit was $89 [AUS] , when Revells was $59 . Is there any differance between these two kits . I would prefer to build one with the rotors and tail in the folded position ; to save space on my display shelf . So I was wondering which kit would suit me ?

I have both kits(glutton for punishment that I am) and am going to convert them to RAN Westland cabs. They are virtually exactly the same kit except for the decals and the type of plastic they are injected from. Both very nice and can be modelled folded(tail pylon and blades) or spread.I got them as presents from different people and I only prefer the Hasegawa one because of the plastic. If it comes down to price there is no probs with the Revell kit.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Mick

Thanks for the information mick ; I’m leaning towards the Revell kit , because of the $30 price difference . Also is there a choice of Decals with each kit , [hi-viz /lo-viz] , I forget to check on the side of each box .

Leave it with me and I’ll check, but from memory the revell only gives the Hi-vis option.

The Revell kit IS the Hasegawa kit.
It’s one of those mold swapping things that they do. The plastic and decals may be different but, the kit layout and construction is virtually identical.

I am currently building the Revell kit and it does have both high vis and low vis decals. I’m building the high vis classic look. It is a nice kit, however, my only complaint is no inside cargo detail, you can’t open the cargo door for display. Good luck with yours.
