Hasegawa's new 1/32 Tony announced!

Just announced this morning at the Shizuoka Hobby Show: Hasegawa’s new 1/32 release will be a Ki-61 Hien (Tony).

Nice!

Was kinda hoping for a nice big Raiden, though…

I can hear the cursing on the ebay site now. No more $150.00 Revell kit sales anymore. I had a feeling this was going to happen. These kit makers are no dummies, They see a demand and more fast to fill it. Case in point Trumpeter has mad a killing producing all of the kits that have been overlooked in the past twenty years. Smart buisness. Ask and ye shall received! Now if Classic Airframes would just release there Do-17 I would be a happy man.

Soulcrusher

Well I’m definitely getting a few of these upon release!

Speaking of these Hasegawa 1/32 kits. I’m looking to buy one of their German WWII plane like a BF-109 or a Japan WWII plane. They are not expensive compared to some other brands.

How are they?

If it’s as nice as their 1/32 Frank, it will be Sweet indeed.

Regards, Rick

The 1/32nd Hasegawa ME 109’s are lovely IMO. Nicely detailed & fit together very well.

Revell Germany licence the mold & if you can find one of their boxings (They have released a G Trop & recently a K), they tend to be a bit cheaper than Hasegawa boxings.

I’m over halfway done with their 1/32 Bf109G-14 kit, and so far it has been really nice. Good detail, no real fit issues to speak of. The flaps are a bit tricky to install, but nothing out of the ordinary considering the design of the flaps and radiators on that series of the 109.
